RFI Procurement of ADS54J69IRMPT Analog-to-Digital Converters: Integrierte elektronische Schaltungen

Subject and scope of the RFI:

Paul Scherrer Institute is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. It is the central hub for Switzerland’s large-scale research facilities. As part of the ETH Domain, PSI is a key pillar of the Swiss research landscape and conducts cutting-edge research in the fields of future technologies, energy and climate, health innovation, and the fundamentals of nature.

PSI is currently preparing a potential procurement of analog-to-digital converter components for upgrades of beam position measurement systems used at PSI accelerator facilities.

The current known requirement concerns approximately 620 pieces of the following Texas

Instruments component: Manufacturer Part Number (MPN): ADS54J69IRMPT

Current estimated allocation:

• SLS: approximately 400 pieces
• HIPA: approximately 220 pieces

A possible additional requirement for SwissFEL is still under assessment.

Purpose of the RFI:

The purpose of this RFI is to clarify the market situation, availability, packaging quantities, production lot traceability, delivery options, export-control information and commercial conditions relevant for determining the appropriate procurement procedure.

Information to be clarified:

• availability for approximately 620 pieces of ADS54J69IRMPT
• supply through Texas Instruments directly or through an authorised Texas Instruments reseller
• packaging quantities, reel quantities and minimum order quantities
• ability to provide full manufacturer traceability and Certificate of Conformance
• ability to supply the complete quantity from one clearly identifiable and traceable production lot
• indicative price, lead time and delivery to PSI in Switzerland
• country of origin, ECCN/export-control classification and any delivery restrictions
• applicable terms of sale and commercial ordering conditions
• foreseeable risks regarding availability, allocation, obsolescence, export control or delivery timing
